Installing a beacon alarm
A beacon alarm provides the best protection against malfunction for your sewage treatment plant. It acts as a light fixture which indicates any issues from the control panel which may prevent it from working properly.
This is an incredibly useful tool for managing the function of a sewage treatment plant, without needing to persistently monitor the control panel which is often out of sight.
As accredited installers of sewage treatment plants, we recognise it's a big investment and it's not something you want to replace in a hurry! Looked after properly, a sewage treatment system can last over 20 years.
The waste within a sewage treatment plant poses a serious risk to public health if it overflows. The beacon alarm can identify sludge levels prior which means it acts as a key safety feature to prevent local contamination. It will prompt precautionary measures in order to protect the surrounding area, whilst also preventing costly repairs.
We supply and instal beacons for all makes of sewage treatment systems, including Klargester, Titan, KEE, WPL, Enso, Conder, Bio Pure, PureFlo, Biorock, Allerton, Acorn, Uni, Ensign, Entec, Moduline, One2Clean, Graf etc.
What can a beacon alarm provide an alert for?
It is used to indicate Failure & Service Reminders and may be included in the Power and Pressure Failure Detection System (PPFDS).
An alert from a beacon alarm can indicate:
-
The high level alarm being triggered
-
Overloaded electricity to the control panel
-
Failed pumps
-
Any other alerts from the control panel relating to the operation of the system
One of the key benefits of a beacon alarm is that it gives peace of mind, that if anything should go wrong with the treatment system, the owner is alerted immediately by the flashing light. Control panels are often in unmonitored areas, which makes missing any malfunction indicators easy to miss. A beacon alarm is installed in a visible area, highlighting an issues as they happen.
